FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about how Proxy Agent behaves.

Does Proxy Agent work on Jira Software or Jira Work Management?

No. The app is gated to projects of type service_desk (Jira Service Management). It will not appear on Jira Software or Jira Work Management projects.

Does it work on Jira Server or Jira Data Center?

No. Proxy Agent is built on Atlassian Forge, which is Cloud-only. There is no Server / Data Center build.

Can I use it without impersonation, just for the audit log?

Yes. Pick App Mode in the global Settings page and leave projects on Use global setting. Every action will be attributed to the app itself, and the audit log will still record who triggered each action.

Can each project have its own agent?

Yes. Override the global default on a per-project basis. See Per-project overrides.

Does the impersonated agent get notified when I act as them?

No. Proxy Agent uses Forge's allowImpersonation scope to call the Jira API on the agent's behalf. The agent is not separately notified, and no email is sent to them just because you used their identity.

What happens if the impersonated agent is deactivated?

Subsequent actions in their name will fail. The audit log will record Success: Failed with the underlying Jira error. Either restore the user, or switch the configuration to a different agent.

Can I export the audit log to CSV?

Not from the UI today. Records can be read programmatically via Forge storage APIs if you need long-term archiving.

How long are audit records kept?

90 days, then they expire automatically.

Is there a free tier?

Pricing is controlled by the Marketplace listing. See the listing page for current tiers. The app behaves identically during evaluation, paid, and trial states; an expired or canceled license blocks all features with a warning panel.

What data leaves my Atlassian site?

None initiated by Qwerty Craft. The app runs on Forge inside Atlassian's infrastructure; we have no external servers. See Security and privacy.

Which languages does Proxy Agent support?

English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, Polish, and Dutch. The UI follows each user's Jira language setting.
